ASI Receives Packaging Praise

Posted on February 11, 2011 by superadmin

Dear ASI,

I appreciate good design, but often some of the best appears in areas too insignificant to be noticed. This is the case for the packaging design of the 2.8 oz. tube for #388 non-corrosive sealant.

We use it inside as shell enclosure for a UHF antenna matching network to seal soldered coaxial cable junctions. It was chosen for its non-corrosive and electrical properties, for which it does well. But, in using it, I have come to appreciate the tube nozzle and cap design which permits applying exactly the right amount to the right places and then resealing without the product hardening in the nozzle between times of usage. A small thing, but it was a problem in the past with other products. It speeds things up, improved the result and reduces waste and cleanup. It’s a bit of good engineering that might otherwise get overlooked.

I wonder if you could pass this along to those down the line who were responsible. I appreciate their good work.
