ASI 504 RTV Commercial Silicone is a one part low modules silicone.  The ASI 504 has been developed to surpass other silicone/sealant materials in the market that contain harmful solvents, Isocyanates, and other chemicals that affect weathering and the long term durability of the silicone.  The ASI 504 is a LOW VOC, multi-purpose silicone that out performs the standard silicones seen on the market.  Its polymer infused formulation allows it to be versatile enough for large construction applications as well as Industrial OEM uses.

ASI 504 RTV Commercial Silicone Sealant shows excellent resistance to weathering, vibration, moisture, ozone and extreme temperatures. It may be applied in sub-zero weather without loss of extrusion or physical property characteristics.

When ASI 504 is fully cured it can be used for extended periods at temperatures up to 400°F (204°C). Fully cured, ASI 504 has excellent adhesion to glass, metal, porcelain, ceramic, wood, most plastics and many other nonporous substrates.

 Common ASI 504 Uses:

ASI 504 is an excellent sealant and/ or adhesive for many Commercial, Industrial, and Construction applications where a long-term, permanently flexible bond or seal is required. Such applications include:

  • OEM Applications (depending on substrates)
  • Skylights
  • HVAC
  • General Sealing
  • General Construction
  • Aluminum Siding
  • General Industrial Applications
  • Windows and doors
  • Gutters
  • Formed in place gaskets
  • Trailers
  • Etc. (Can be used for various applications depending upon substrate)

 SPECIFICATIONS

ASI 504 meets the following specifications and requirements: TT-S-001543A (silicone building sealant), TT-S-00230C (one component building sealant), and ASTM C-920-86. ASI 504 can be applied to surface temperatures from 0°F to +140°F and after curing, withstands constant operating temperatures from -40° F to 400°F. ASI 504 is not paintable. ASI 504 will fully cure within 24 hours at a relative humidity of 50%. Optimum Strength Achieved in 7 days.

Common ASI 504 Substrates:

  • Aluminum
  • Ceramics
  • Glass
  • Granite
  • Marble
  • Metals
  • Most Woods
  • Most Plastics
  • Porcelain
  • PVC
  • Steel
  • Etc. (substrates may vary depending upon application

DIRECTIONS

ASI 504 is ready to use and requires no mixing or additives. The cure mechanism begins as soon as the sealant comes in contact with the air. Higher humidity accelerates cure.  Tooling, if necessary, should be done before skinning takes place. In applications where partial or total confinement of sealant is prevalent, the time required for proper cure is generally lengthened by the degree of confinement.

1: Clean and dry all surfaces. 2: Cut nozzle to a desired size at a 45 degree angle. 3: Break the foil in the nozzle and apply with the caulking gun, pushing the silicone in the direction of the nozzle.

Note: If tooling is required do so immediately within 10 minutes. Remove excess with a clean, dry cloth or paper towel.

Caution: On contact, uncured silicone sealant irritates eyes. In case of contact with eyes, rinse thoroughly for 15 minutes and seek medical attention immediately. Silicone Sealant may also irritate skin, if irritated remove the sealant from skin and rinse with water. Contact physician if needed. Acetic acid released during application and cure, overexposure may irritate eyes, skin, and nose. Proper ventilation is required.
